About Haven Community Solutions
Our Story
Haven Community Solutions evolved to provide genuine therapeutic care in a culturally responsive and rich relational environment.
In elevating the quality of care which children and young people receive, our collective goal as an organisation is to promote improved outcomes along the child protection continuum.
Our people work within a therapeutically focused environment. Children and young people are meaningfully supported to heal from trauma with the view to live safely with their families, other safe placements within their communities or move towards independent living.
Our best and unremitting hope for the children we work with is they will live happy, healthy lives within the ecology of their own families and community.
At Haven, our work is guided by ethical practice and decision-making and we are courageous, creative and intentional in every step we take together with our young people.
Acknowledgement of Country
Haven Community Solutions acknowledges and pays respect to the traditional owners of the lands on which we work and live; the Jagera, Yugambeh, and Quandamooka peoples and to the more than 250 Indigenous nations across Australia.
We respectfully recognise our First Nations peoples’ continued connection to land, sea and wind. We draw upon the rich culture and knowledge of Elders past and present as we undertake our work.
Haven recognises sovereignty has never been ceded.
